Event Description
This immersive workshop blends nature connection with creative expression, offering a way to explore the emotional impact of environmental change.
The session begins with a forest bathing session on Rathlin, to immerse and connect with the natural world through the senses. An intuitive creative session will follow, where you can explore and express your feelings of Solastalgia, using words and found and natural elements such as pebbles, seaweed, shells, driftwood, and branches to craft transient art.
Focusing on feeling over explanation, the workshop invites you to reflect on the interconnectedness of planetary and personal health, using nature and art as therapeutic pathways for healing and expression.
Together, we aim to leave with a renewed sense of hope and possibility in our deepened connection to ourselves and our environment.
This will be an outdoor event (weather permitting). In adverse weather conditions, the session will move indoors for an expressive art activity.
Outdoor clothing, warm layers and walking boots or wellies required.
