Learning the Art of Regulation for the Body & Mind from Everyday Stress

During this combined talk and workshop we will delve into how excessive stress can affect our body and mind. We will explore what parts of our brain activate the stress response and hormones and how this is initiated physiologically within the body activating the sympathetic nervous system. Exploring the science behind how relaxation techniques such as breathing functionally and consciously can bring our nervous system back into a parasympathetic state along with mind and body homeostasis.
