Wee Storybook to Film: The Snail and the Whale
Event Description

In collaboration with Wee Bookworms, we’re bringing the enchanting world of The Snail & The Whale to life with a fun-filled event that blends storytelling, creativity, healthy snacks & cinema.

Arguably one of Donaldson’s very very best - and led by voice-overs from Sally Hawkins, Rob Brydon and the legend that is Diana Rigg, this is certainly one of the finest animated adaptations as well, as is only fitting. A tiny snail goes on a spectacular journey full of wonder, by hitching a lift on the tail of a very friendly humpback whale. Axel Scheffler’s exquisite artwork is perfectly replicated & sympathetically brought to life in this wondrous adaptation.

We’ll start with a Wee Bookworms reading of science inspired books, followed by our screening of The Snail & The Whale. Then a variety of activities that bring the story to life – from crafts to games, and plenty of snacks to keep everyone energized. It’s the perfect way to spark your child’s imagination and immerse them in the magic of books and films.

Duration: approx. 75min

Tickets are £7.50 per child with no charge for an accompanying adult or babies up to one year. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
