Venus at OM
Event Description

Join the team at OM to witness the planet Venus achieve the greatest brightness in our sky. This happens every 1.6 years when Venus gets far enough away from the Sun for us to see it shine as the evening star. The planet at its brightest will be the third brightest object in our night sky!

As you observe Venus through our range of telescopes in the darkest sky in Northern Ireland, we'll take you through the history of Earth’s so-called “evil twin” and explain how and why ancient astronomers tracked this planet.
