Take a Deep Dive into the Dark Side of Personality

Take a Deep Dive into the Dark Side of Personality
Event Description

A Narcissist, a Manipulator, a Psychopath, and a Sadist walk into a bar…Advances in the study of personality have identified the traits of narcissism, psychopathy, Machiavellianism, and sadism as the ‘Dark Tetrad’. This cluster of traits is synonymous with a malevolent character…such as the Greek mythological figure Hades. However, further investigation into these traits shows that to every dark side there is also the light.

During this interactive evening, researchers from the InteRRaCt Lab at Queen’s University Belfast will take a deep dive into these four dark traits and how they influence our relationships and romantic styles.

Attendees will find out about their own dark personality, and then be a studio audience in our first ever 'Date the Trait' show. Refreshments including tea, coffee, and biscuits will be provided. We hope that each person will leave with a better understanding of their own personality and have a little bit of Valentine's Evening fun along the way!

Location: David Keir Building, room 0G/012 (the Bridge)

It is recommended to enter the building via the Stranmillis Road entrance for ease of access.
