Live Action Linen
Event Description

We warmly welcome you to witness the linen making process brought to life at this one-off event. As part of the We Feed The UK exhibition, ‘The Clean Blue of Linen’ by Yvette Monahan, farmers and textile makers are gathering to process flax plants live, right through to the textile stage.

Helen Keys and Charlie Mallon have been reviving the Irish tradition of growing flax for fibre on their family farm. As part of a community of spinners, weavers, dyers, and processors, they are regrowing this historic industry with a new future-focused approach.

Join us as we unravel the art of crafting linen by hand.
