Extinction - Focus on Primates

Environment & Nature
Extinction - Focus on Primates
Event Description

Extinction is here! Extinction is real! Extinction is forever! There are so many wildlife species that are seeing the real possibility of extinction in the not too distant future.

Many of Belfast Zoo’s species are highly endangered, but in 2025 we are focussing on primates for this year’s NI Science Festival.

In this year’s interactive workshop we will be:

• exploring the threats and dangers that apes, monkeys and lemurs face;

• looking at primate conservation projects around the world;

• finding out what Belfast Zoo is doing for primate conservation; and

• doing some enrichment for apes.
