Imagine working out 24/7 and never getting tired! Well, our heart is the powerhouse of our body and does exactly that. Just like our horses, our heart pumps blood around the body throughout our lifetime, allowing us to carryout many day to day tasks.
With a focus on the GCSE Double Award Science specification, spend some time in laboratory at CAFRE Enniskillen campus looking at the comparisons between the human and horse heart. You’ll learn about the direction of blood flow, size and capacity alongside the interaction with other body systems with the use of equine models and equipment.
