What is artificial intelligence (AI), and how does it work? We will explore various aspects of AI and demo a number of applications developed by different members of our team at Ulster University. The demos will explore topics such as robot tracking, autonomous agents, chatbots, and how AI can be used in beneficial ways to support health and well-being, enhance education, and prevent malicious attacks.
At a more general level, we will also consider how AI enables problems to be solved, whether computers might be smarter than us and whether computers will be able to think. With the help of these contributions, we will understand key concepts of AI, the mathematics involved and how AI is used in practice.
