Event Description

Join the team at Belfast Zoo for a behind-the-scenes tour and find out about their special animal characters past and present.

Discover why their genes are so important in helping to preserve some of the world’s most endangered animals and learn all about how global breeding programmes work.

You’ll get the answers to questions such as: “What happened to Lily the lion cub?”; “Why did you move the tigers?”; “Where did the Andean bear cub go?” and much more!

Participants are advised this is an outdoors walking tour. Suitable footwear and clothing should be worn.
