The Sir Bernard Crossland Lecture

Engineering & Robotics
The Sir Bernard Crossland Lecture
Event Description

The Chief Executives' Club and Engineers Ireland present the 2024 Sir Bernard Crossland lecture entitled Igniting Northern Ireland's Engineering Renaissance given by Dr Jayne Brady, Head of the Northern Ireland Civil Service in association with the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

About Sir Bernard Crossland
The lecture series began in 2001 and is named to honour our late colleague Sir Bernard Crossland. The lecture is hosted in association with Engineers Ireland and the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Sir Bernard played a pivotal role in the creation and organisation of the lecture series before his passing in 2011. The lecture series now forms an integral part of developing closer links between Queen’s and the engineering communities and, importantly, with the business and industry and economic sector here in Northern Ireland and further afield. In recent years, the lecture has also been included in the NI Science Festival allowing Sir Bernard’s passion and lifelong commitment to engineering to be shared with young minds of the future.
