The Science of Superheroes in Film & Television
Event Description

Excelsior!

Currently 13 out of the top 30 highest grossing films of all time are superhero movies, especially Marvel films such as Avengers: Endgame. Similarly, television shows such as The Flash and Supergirl dominate our smaller screens.

However, how realistic is what we see in these films and television shows? Featuring clips from superhero films and television shows, Prof Francis Keenan of Queen’s University Belfast discusses the scientific accuracy (or otherwise) of what we see. Assemble!
