The Science of Psychedelics - The Future of Mental Health?
Event Details

Join NHS doctor, Jonathan Iliff, for a journey through the past, present and future use of psychedelic drugs to treat mental illness. Dr Iliff will talk through the history of experimentation by psychiatrists in more than 40,000 patients - from the euphoric elitism of the 1940s, to the crashing comedown of the effective ban on research in the 1970s.

WE WILL ALSO DISCUSS…

• How psychedelics produce their effects in the brain.

• How people might benefit from consuming compounds such as psilocybin and LSD.

• Whether psychedelics will ever be prescribed on the NHS for mental health conditions.

• If psychedelics are the future of mental health… If they are, what will that look like and if not - then what is..?

Want answers? Then come on in. Let’s explore some marvellous things.
