Event Description

Find out all about the science and story of curling at this fun, interactive event, where you’ll get the chance to meet representatives from the All-Ireland National Curling Team, as well as giving it a go yourself.

Originally an outdoor winter sport, curling - which is played on ice - now takes place in rinks and arenas around the world. A key fixture in the Winter Olympics, the sport was actually invented in Scotland, with the stones used in curling made of granite from the island of Ailsa Craig.
