What is a sensory experience?
How is it that we can have these sensory experiences through therapeutic sound?
Exploring the answer to these questions, sound artist and curator Tessa Ann from The Sound Healing Spa will deliver her innovative performance-style sound experience merging healing sound instruments, electronic compositions, and captivating visuals to take you on an immersive auditory voyage at the Sonic Lab, a hub of the Sonic Arts Research Centre.
This truly immersive experience is made possible through collaborative effort on composition with research partner Dr Isaac Gibson.
This exploration includes references from Tessa’s previous ‘Magical Sounds’ discussion at the NI Science Festival 2023 with Dr. Trevor Agus on musical acoustics and human perception of therapeutic sound.

With the potential to perceive sound through other senses, as part of this unique performance event, you are invited to embrace the freedom to sit, recline, move or wander throughout the immersive sound space, allowing you to connect with and respond to the sounds intuitively.
Listening to sound may also inspire creativity and encourage introspection, so bring a journal to write if you like.
Our meticulously crafted soundscape has been expertly tailored for the Sonic Lab’s remarkable array of over 40 speakers, promising an unparalleled audio experience.
For those of you familiar with ‘sound baths’, think of this a fluid sound bath experience.
Attire: Comfortable, warm clothing and footwear

What we need to know from you in advance:
