Facilitated by artist Jane Butler, Sensing the City combines art, mindfulness, psychology and science…
We all experience and perceive our external environments in a multi-sensory way. This workshop will subsequently explore space and place through embodied, hyper- sensual experience, activated by an urban walk through the city of Derry/Londonderry which includes various sensory activities.
Following the walk, which leaves from the gallery, you’ll then get the chance to use the sensory data you collected in an activity once you return, as well as getting an insight into Jane’s research and artistic practice.
