Queen’s Biology Showcase

Environment & Nature
Queen’s Biology Showcase
Event Description

Understanding and protecting the world around us is the defining goal of our time. To achieve this, we need to explore the weird and wonderful biodiversity of the Earth, produce safe and nutritious food sustainably and learn how to fight diseases.

The biological sciences play a key role in these societal goals, so come along and meet the scientists from the Queen’s School of Biological Sciences, whose job is to explore the natural world and how we can take better care of it.

Which species are at risk of extinction and why? How can we feed ourselves more sustainably? Why does climate change mean that diseases are on the move? Come and explore all of these things and more through our talks and interactive exhibits!
