People Power for a Sustainable Future
Event Details

In our everyday lives, we increasingly hear about the climate and ecological crises in which we find ourselves. The planetary emergency can sometimes seem too much to comprehend but many options exist for us to co-create a better future for current and future generations.

Arguing that ‘people power’ is an essential ingredient of sustainability, Dr Amanda Slevin outlines some of the socio-ecological issues we collectively face and explores avenues for action across individual, community and societal levels. Drawing on local and global examples of people power, she illustrates how, together, we can transform our world to make it a fairer, healthier and more sustainable place for humans and non-human species.
