Event Description
Paddle with a purpose and do your bit for the environment. Join us for a kayak tour & island clean up on Strangford Lough. The ‘Leave No Trace’ message will be discussed along the paddle as will the effects of local damage to wildlife and habitats along our rivers and coastlines by some of NI’s wildlife experts and environmentalists. Strangford Lough is an area of outstanding beauty, a marine nature reserve and a site of specific scientific interest. Furthermore, It plays host to over 2000 species of wildlife.
Raised awareness on the effects of litter and plastic has brought the subject into the media. However, efforts are in place the world over to combat pollution. Therefore, our aim is to protect the local environment and wildlife. Above all, ensure it is still there for future generations to enjoy.
