Paddle With a Purpose
Event Details

Paddle with a purpose and do your bit for the environment. Join us for an island clean up on Strangford Lough. The ‘Leave No Trace’ message will be discussed along the paddle as will the effects of local damage to wildlife and habitats along our coastlines. Strangford Lough is an AONB, SAC and MNR with over 2000 species of wildlife. Departing from the shore, you will be issued with a buoyancy aid, canoe, paddles, litter picker and rubbish bag. Our instructors will guide you throughout with all the local folklore heritage, history and wildlife spotting.

On arrival you will be free to explore the island collecting litter en route. Afterwards enjoy hot chocolate and s'mores before returning to base.
