Join this canoe adventure and explore Devenish Island, the Monks, the Vikings and the Places of Lower Lough Erne. Joining your canoeing Instructors will be Dr Sarah Baccianti, researcher in literature and history of medieval Scandinavia and Dr Frances Kane, linguist fluent in Irish language and a researcher in the origins of Northern Ireland’s place names.
This event will guide you through the stories behind the place names of the surrounding area.
