Event Description
This is a fun orienteering activity within the grounds of Mussenden Temple and Downhill Demesne.
Learn and practice navigational skills in a stunning environment on the North Coast.
The orienteering course/s set out will be suitable for all ages and perfect for family groups. No previous knowledge of navigation is expected.
Participants will get a map and use this to navigate round the course finding controls (check points) along the way. A coach will be there to explain the activity at the start and see how you got on when you finish.
You can choose to leisurely walk the course with a friend or family members or if more competitive, race against the clock - it is entirely up to you.
All you need to bring is a pair of walking shoes or trainers and your sense of adventure!
Please note, although there is no NISF booking fee there is a parking fee at Lion’s Gate.
- NT operate a Pay by Phone parking, where car park charges will apply for non-members.
- £7.50 per vehicle.
- Free parking for National Trust members.
