Lunar Observing
Event Description

‘We’ll be paying extra attention to our nearest natural neighbour in space during this year’s NI Science Festival, with two lunar observing sessions scheduled.

On the opening night, Thurs 15 Feb, Jupiter will be around 5 degrees away from a 40% illuminated waxing crescent Moon. They’ll both make for great targets for our range of telescopes!

Next up, on Friday 16th, the 51% illuminated Moon will be just over a degree away from M45, the Seven Sisters star cluster, also known as The Pleiades.
