Event Description
How can health information improve lives in Northern Ireland?
We’ve all visited the GP at some point in our lives, whether it’s for a check-up, because we’re not feeling well, or we need to get that prescription updated again. Perhaps you’ve visited the hospital too? At each visit, your health information is collected and securely stored by the NHS, but what if researchers can access it to improve the lives of people in Northern Ireland?
Join us as we explore:
· What health data is and why does it matter? Learn about what we are doing at HDR UK and HDR Northern Ireland to unite data
· How is data is being used in pregnancy-related research today? - Emma Cassinelli and Laura McGowan, Queen's University Belfast
· How are members of the public getting involved with research and how you can take part?
