Event Description

NI Science Festival partners with Northern Ireland Museums Council to present a series of panel discussions across the country on the ongoing climate emergency. All events feature representatives from Government, local authorities, universities and charities hosted by awarding winning author and journalist Mark Lynas, author of Our Final Warning: Six Degrees of Climate Emergency.

Panel includes:

  • Mark Lynas (Chair)
  • Prof Mark Emmerson (QUB, Biodiversity and Ecosystem Function research focus & Vice-President of the British Ecological Society)
  • Simon Gray (Ulster Wildlife, Peatlands Officer)
  • Melina Quinn (National Trust NI, Nature Conservation Advisor)

This event will also take place in the following locations:

  • Armagh Planetarium - Wed 22 Feb
  • Springhill, Magherafelt - Thurs 23 Feb
  • F.E McWilliam Gallery and Studio, Banbridge - Fri 24 Feb
