Event Details

Dr Adrian Pugsley, Dr Josh Bailey and Dr Neha Mehta, together with three more CASE (Centre for Advanced Sustainable Energy) researchers will be putting on stalls at NI Sustainability Fairs as part of the NI Science Festival. The NI Sustainability Fairs represent a long-term project designed to explore what we must do to meet to achieve a planet in balance, one that provides for humanity and the millions of other species.

The theme of CASE’s stalls is ”Clean Energy Revolution – the future is now” where the latest research going on at the Queen's University Belfast and the Ulster University around renewable energy and related sustainable solutions will be shared with the public. This encompasses hydrogen, batteries, anaerobic digestion, food waste, wind and tidal energy, photovoltaics and solar thermal, amongst other energy production and development approaches.

There are two Sustainability Fairs, one scheduled for Saturday 19th February at the Playhouse in Derry/Londonderry, and the second on the following week on Saturday 26th February at 2 Royal Avenue in Belfast. Both events are free to attend, and there will be posters, videos, researchers to interact with and some hands-on demonstrations. The CASE stalls will be exhibiting from 10am until 4pm on both days.
