Bowel Cancer Science Cafe
Event Description

As part of the NI Science Festival 2024, leading researchers from Queen’s University Belfast will hold the 'Bowel Cancer Research Science Cafe’ event at the Patrick G. Johnston Centre for Cancer Research (PGJCCR) on Friday 16 February from 10am - 12pm.

This event brings together patients, researchers and clinicians to share their unique perspectives on bowel cancer, a disease that effects over 1,000 people every year in Northern Ireland.

The event is open to the public and will provide the opportunity to hear from:

  1. A patient with personal experience of bowel cancer
  2. Researchers using cutting edge technology to develop new treatment approaches
  3. Clinicians who are bringing research from the laboratory to the clinic and using exercise and nutrition to enhance the lives of patients with bowel cancer

The event will be followed by tea and coffee and will also provide an opportunity for a tour of one of the PGJCCR laborator
