Blindboy at the NI Science Festival

Mind & Body Science Communication
Blindboy at the NI Science Festival
Event Description

Experience The Blindboy Podcast live at NI Science Festival with Limerick's own polymath, author, screenwriter, songwriter, musician, producer and academic Blindboy.

Described as a ‘cultural phenomenon’ by The New York Times, The Blindboy Podcast is an award-winning, storytelling podcast in the Irish tradition of the Seanchaí which seamlessly intertwines history, fiction, cultural critique and politics into a relaxing form the creator calls ‘the podcast hug’. He draws upon his experiences to democratise topics such as art, psychology, politics, science and music.

For this exclusive event, Blindboy will speak to a special guest scientist, offering the audience a unique and humorous insight into issues the scientists are currently researching.

Drawing from his years of live performance experience, Blindboy will read from his much-anticipated new book Topographia Hibernica – a visionary new short story collection that unravels the knotted threads of humanity, nature and colonisation.
