Become a scientist for the afternoon at the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine (WWIEM) and enjoy a range of demonstrations and interactive research activities!
Our mission is to understand the mechanisms of disease and use that understanding to develop new tests and treatments to improve patients’ lives. This is a great chance to find out all about the work of local scientists who are leading the way in research into vision and vascular disease, respiratory medicine and the immune system and its interactions with microbes.
Meanwhile, if you’re currently considering your career options then why not join our ‘So You Want to be a Biomedical Scientist?’ event. This will include a tour of the WWIEM facilities, career stories from our researchers and an opportunity to chat with experts about the options available at QUB.
