The Wellcome-Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine (WWIEM) is dedicated to uncovering how diseases develop and using this knowledge to create better tests and treatments for patients.
Join us for an interactive event where you will meet local scientists at the forefront of research into vision, kidney, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, and the tiny world of microbes and their fight with our immune system. Our researchers will welcome you with live demonstrations and hands-on research activities.
Kids will have their eyes opened to the possibilities of science, teenagers get inspired for a career in biomedical science, and adults will gain an in-depth view of ongoing research in Belfast. Come and discover how science is transforming healthcare!
