Eating Disorders in Northern Ireland: Celebrating Successes and Confronting the Challenges of a Silent Epidemic is a one-time event bringing together research, clinical expertise, and lived experience.
Organised in partnership between Queen’s University Belfast School of Psychology, the Eating Disorder Services in Northern Ireland, and the Eating Disorder Managed Regional Care Network, the event will highlight the progress achieved to date while addressing ongoing challenges of this silent epidemic. The programme will feature presentations from trauma and mental health researchers at Queen’s University Belfast and frontline perspectives from HSC clinical staff, engaging in a dialogue with members of the local community, including those with lived experience.
Open to families, students, professionals, and the wider public, the event will provide a supportive and inclusive space for learning and public dialogue.
