Event Description

This summer, Europe will experience a solar spectacle as the 2026 solar eclipse unfolds.
Join astrophysicist, lecturer, and former NASA researcher Dr Ryan Milligan as he shares his two-decade long journey chasing total eclipses across the globe, from some of the world’s most remote corners to the path of totality itself.
The next year presents the only opportunities this century to witness totality from mainland Europe, making this a rare moment to experience one of nature’s most spectacular cosmic events.
Discover what causes solar eclipses, why people travel thousands of miles to see them, how to safely view this summer’s partial eclipse from Northern Ireland, and where to go next if you want to chase the full experience of totality.
Doors 7pm, event starts at 7.30pm
