Event Description

Join Prof. Francis Keenan of Queen’s University as he explores the accuracy, or otherwise, of the science in science-fiction films and television. Using clips from shows and films such as Star Trek, we will look at where scriptwriters get the science right, and where they more often get it very wrong.

The talk will focus on how predictions made in science-fiction movies and television have sometimes come true, but have often missed the mark entirely.

7pm Doors / 7:30pm start
