Space Exploration and Origami KS2

NASA engineers use origami because of the hidden geometry in the various folds.  Origami is providing NASA with an answer to a very difficult question – how to pack as much as possible into the minimum amount of storage space within the spacecraft. Students will learn to create their own origami space object.

This workshop will take place via zoom, where each pupil will be provided the zoom link to participate.  Each workshop lasts 45 minutes and requires the use of simple items found around the house.  The only technological device they will need is a mobile phone/tablet or computer to view the zoom workshop on. 

What you will need:

- Mobile phone/tablet or computer to view zoom workshop 

- Scissors

- Paper

- A Ruler

- Pencils

- Colouring pencils / markers
