Students from Badminton School in Bristol will be leading some interactive workshops packed with science experiments that can be done at home or in school.
The experiments have been selected to use materials that can be found in many homes or easily obtained, and include:
- Making an indicator with red cabbage
- Investigating inks with chromatography
- Investigating the reaction between a carbonate and an acid (uses the indicator from workshop 1)
- Making slime
As well providing a fun, hands-on opportunity for some practical science, students will be explaining the science behind the demonstrations and will be strong, positive role models of young people engaged in science.
