Online with Belfast Zoo

Using Microsoft Teams, the team at the Belfast Zoo will conduct an online, interactive sessions with your class. In these special session the team will demonstrate the importance of zoos for conserving endangered wildlife. as well as discuss why wildlife is in danger, using a mixture of photographs and demonstrations with live animals.

The session will also include pre-recorded interviews with:

- a Curator at an enclosure with live animals, talking about the importance of breeding programmes

- a keeper working with an elephant, talking about animal welfare

- a keeper in the ape house talking about the importance of enrichment for animal mental welfare.

- a zoo vet, again at an animal house, talking about what is involved in keeping animals healthy.

This event will conclude with a Q&A session.
