Event Description

Globally, climate is in crisis, politics is unsettled and economies are fragile. We are living precariously, on the brink. We are looking into the unknown.

Science is all about the unknown. It developed from people with questions about the world, testing their ideas, thinking about the results, trying to find answers. Science encourages us to explore and innovate. That’s just what we need to adapt to a changing world.

We’re looking at the science of soil and plants as a human resource. What can we learn from nature, past and present, to help us survive and thrive in a precarious future? What tools enable people to engage with and take action to mitigate climate change? Join us for some hands-on experimentation!

Please note: This event is taking place in the Bank of Ireland building on Royal Avenue. It has no heating so please wrap up warm. It is also a building earmarked for development, so it has steps, no lift, and no toilet facilities.
