Event Description

Following the recent success of his book of the same name, by popular demand Dr John O’Donoghue returns to Belfast to deliver his “Onscreen Chemistry” lecture. O’Donoghue is a chemistry education co-ordinator based at Trinity College Dublin, where he coordinates the unique Science Communication training course for early career researchers.

In this event, discover the real-life chemistry that inspires the art and the impact entertainment can have on how we perceive the works of science. Delve into the depths of his intertwining story as art imitates life and the role chemistry has played as an inspiration, and in many cases, a character in our favourite films and shows through the history of moving pictures.
This is a joint event hosted by Royal Society of Chemistry Northern Ireland Local Section and Queen’s University Belfast.
