An evening with Dick Strawbridge – engineer, sustainability advocate and star of well-loved TV shows, Escape to the Chateau and Scrapheap Challenge.
Chairing the conversation will be Jane Larmour, Architecture Lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast and Director of award-winning architects Arigho Larmour Wheeler.
Through lively discussion and audience Q&A, Dick will share insights on blending practical skills with creative thinking. Featuring apprentices from the All-Ireland Heritage Skills Programme, this engaging session celebrates craftspeople, conservation, and sustainability while inspiring future generations to explore careers that connect science, tradition, and innovation.
Please note this evening event is taking place in The Hillsborough Castle Café which is accessed by our main entrance off the A1. There is ample free car parking for your convenience, and the Café bar will be open for drinks and refreshments.
