Over one third of all food produced globally is lost or wasted; that’s the equivalent of 1.3 billion tonnes of food. In 2015, UK households alone wasted an estimated 7.3 million tonnes of food and most of this was avoidable. Join us to find out about the microorganisms that cause our food to rot, how wasting food damages our environment and discover some interesting ways we can put wasted food to good use.
